We’re officially in those wild days leading up to winter break. You know, the ones powered by candy canes, glitter, and sheer teacher survival mode. 🤪 If you’re looking for something fun (and actually meaningful!) to fill those last blocks of time, I’ve got a little treat for you!

A Gingerbread Freebie to Get You Through the Final Stretch

Today, I want to share a free Gingerbread Four-in-a-Row Sight Word Game with you. It’s super low-prep and perfect for partner play. Just add mini-erasers, cubes, or chips for game markers, and you’re set! Students will work with a partner and take turns reading and covering words, trying to get four in a row. If you have students who might benefit from working with a friend, you could have them work in pairs or play two students against two students. It’s easy, fun, and sneaky review at the same time! Add it to your December or January literacy centers or keep it on hand for when your class needs a fun break during the week leading up to winter break!
