What You’ll Need:

A set of numbered task cards (one for each student – you can also partner up students)
A student recording sheet
Pencils and clipboards (especially for write the room versions)

Set-Up:

Place one task card on each student’s desk (You can use carpet spots or spots around the room, too!) in numerical order.
Hand each student a recording sheet and pencil.
Explain that students will solve the problem at their desk, write the answer in the corresponding box, and then wait for the signal to “Scoot.”
Use a consistent signal (like a chime or the word “Scoot!”) to let students know when to move to the next desk.
Students continue rotating and solving until all cards are complete—or until time runs out!
